Useful things you didn't know

Post useful things that other people probably don't know.

While moving to a piece of cover you can press Y even before you land to land on the other side of the cover. You can also press Y as many times as you like to keep switching which side you'll land on before you get there.

Grenades are amazing in King of the Hill, if you see one come to you however, press Y to go to the otherside of cover, or press B to retreat until it explodes.

If you are moving to cover and you are being shot at, ensure you strafe a lot and use boost; press left stick down.

You can still get shot when doing blind fire, so be careful when blind firing at low health.

Stalkers work like you do, when you fire out of cover they do. Use them as decoys to kill the enemy by moving around the cover so they don't easily recognise who the drone is and who the player is.

Use Satellite ability...someone on the team should run this with the cool down perk on. It is extremely useful! Also the Double barrel shotgun is beast on king of the hill. One shot some kills from across barricades when people come to take you out is very fun!

You can kill the Preyons. You just have to be fast about it, or have a powerful weapon. Like the second Sniper Rifle you unlock. If you charge up the shot fully it kills it in one(1) hit.

I like to use the Warbringers as decoys, then kill the guys that pop out to shoot it.
When you hear the screech of a Preyon, I think you can throw a drone hack grenade at your feet, and it may get the Preyon, reversing it and making it attack someone on the other team. I'm not sure, though
You probably all know this, but you can fly left, right, up, and down while jetpacking to cover, I use this to hide behind walls while moving to cover.

I'm still learning the ropes and any info would help. Is there anyway to combat the people teleporting? I played a game last night and I got killed a bunch of times by a guy who was teleporting all over the place. I didn't know what else to do..

Any thought and tips would be appreciated.

Keep an eye out. It is easy to see when someone teleports as you see a blue sphere like shape from where they were, be quick to react and either retreat or press Y to change side as they will probably aim over the cover, as I do.

The thing about teleporting is that after I teleport I always have to readjust my aim to hit whoever is on the other side. Even when I know exactly where the enemy is (which is not often) on the other side of the cover they have a distinct advantage against me because they can see the red flash (red for variants, blue for paladins) and know exactly where to aim.

If you can react fast enough, after someone teleports to you, fly in front of you then turn 180 and shoot them in the back. That'll confuse them.

Neat! I didn't know about the colours, common sense really I guess just only seen the blue one :P

The smoke gernade can stop drones from firing and can sometimes stop preyons from killing you

Jmans a variant so I imagine it was probably me who was killing him the other night...

You did however annihilate me last night in one game of deathmatch on drydock((I think.(First time I've felt properly beat by another teleporter since getting it myself.)) The sore loser in me want's to shout "lag" but until the re-match I guess I just have to accept that you out shot me (Although I'm sure I could complain about sub-par team mates being the cause etc. haha.) Well played Sir.
