Hey guys, I'm sure you're waiting eagerly for tomorrow morning. Just so you know what you're getting into, 5th Cell has been kind enough to shed some light on us about the beta! Check out the article here:
Details about the Upcoming Hybrid Beta (http://www.xblafans.com/details-about-the-upcoming-hybrid-beta-46815.html)
Suffice to say, there's 3 modes and 3 maps, though they didn't say which. Faction choice is permanent and there's no crossover, so choose wisely. There's more in the article

Good write-up, dude!
A note: Foreign players can parti****te in the beta by setting their Xboxes to North America. This is being encouraged and we've got a bunch of Europeans on the forums already!
EDIT That's an interesting thing for the profanity filter to pick up on ...

That's been an interesting... feature of the forums for quite some time now XD
On topic - Very nice write-up. Hopefully people will take notice of the whole choosing a side is permanent for the beta aspect of things.

I really, really hope everyone notices that. While I don't really agree with the choice from a game perspective, I understand why it's necessary given the territory tug-of-war meta that exists in the game. In fact, I'm more interested to see what it'll be like on full release.
A sort of "skirmish" mode that allows you to fight against or with members of any faction without affecting the territories would be a nice implementation, though it may go against the story (a very small price to pay).

Children's Internet Protection Act? Is that what it was intended to block? How very meta of vBulletin...

Was this mentioned at all in the game itself? Because I didn't know this when I chose my faction I ended up choosing the faction that gave me an xp boost over the one that didn't and because of this I am now stuck on a faction that none of my friends are on since it apparently gave all of them the xp boost for the other faction. Seriously wished I'd known that the choice was permanent then I wouldn't have chosen the xp boost over the one friend I had at the time on the other faction. Just needed to rant about it since I don't remember seeing anything about it when actually choosing the faction, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't there.
