    why do they say some teams are recommended

    Why are some teams recommended like it said paladins start at rank 5 and stuff. Why is that

    Faction imbalances. They give bonuses to people who join the faction with less players to keep the factions as even as possible.

    Yes, this. It is server based, so automatic which is why it can change within an hour, or even many times a day.
