I'm looking to build a new PC over the summer if I can manage to afford it. Unfortunately I only have a Pentium 4 with a whopping 128 megs (yep megs) of V-ram. Sooooo anything newer than oh..... 2006 is outta my league D:

I love me some Command and Conquer though.

Generals 2 is why I'm hoping to build a new pc this year actually

I'm also hoping that if they ever go back to the Tiberium universe, they retcon CnC4 out of existence.

Yeah, I'm looking at an i5 at the moment, though I may just save for a little longer and try to get an i7. My issue is, I know it's cheaper to build a pc rather than buy a pre-built one, but it's been .... almost 15 years since I last put one together myself. I'm having to learn all of the new hardware specs >.<

the problem is that when building ur own PC is that u have to install windows 7 or 8 witch ever one u want and manual update it or if somthing goes wrong ur going to have to fix it ur self becasue when companys say built in windows 7 etc they have all ready put the drivers windows etc in and are cover id somthing goes wrong either if its a hardware or software program building one ur self is only going to casue u more problems like if u get a virus instead of going to the normal place ur going to ahve to dig out the route in where the virus went block it and prema delete it thats why i buy a great PC that has a great motherboard etc to facotry standerds if its lacking in a PC upgrade i will upgrade it and send the updates ive made to the company ive bough it from so they know ive changed it and they will still cover if any hardware problems happin

Yeah, that's my dilemma right now. A friend of mine bought a pre-built pc that runs BF3 fine, for around $700 I think. That may be the way to go, I'll have to keep an eye out for a good deal.
