Seems this has been mentioned a lot, but it can be hard to find matches in the game or know what zone people are playing in. I would suggest either a find match button to automatically add you to a match that only needs one more player or an indicator for each zone showing how many people are waiting in that lobby.

It doesn't matter what zone you choose, everyone goes into a general match making queue. When you choose a district to fight for, you are just choosing to put points there if you win.
